For the people of God, joy is grounded in their relationship with God, it not an emotional state that can be worked up into at the spur-of-the-moment. And so this morning, as we celebrate this third week of Advent and lighting of the Candle of Joy, I want to take a few minutes to reflect on the different aspects of this joy from God.
