Christian Households: Children, Parents, Slaves, and Masters
Bible Text: Ephesians 6:1-9 | Preacher: Eric Kretschmer | Series: Theology Of The Church
Last week we looked at how the apostle Paul re-aligned these codes of conduct, encouraging the husband and wife in the Christian household to pattern their relationships after the relationship exhibited between Christ and his Church: In other words, an attitude of submission. This attitude of submission was introduced prior to the section we are in now, in chapter 5:18-21.
This main idea and exhortation feeds directly into the roles of wives, husbands, children, parents, slaves, and masters. Today we will look specifically at the last two relationships: Children and Parents/Slaves and masters. You can go here to read the article I quoted in this morning’s sermon.
