Fake news is typically defined as false stories that appearto be news, spread on the internet or using other media, usually created to influence political views or as a joke.” Reporters should be careful to examine and scrutinize their sources before they publish anything. If they do not examine their sources closely they put themselves at risk for law suits and will potentially lose readers of their publications do to a loss in confidence in any future stories they may run. This is exactly the situation Paul found himself in in our passage of Galatians this morning: Paul presents a sound argument for why he should be trusted as a true Apostle of Christ, and so a valid source for delivering the gospel message to the Galatians in the first place.
