The people who live in the Middle East, the region where Jesus ministered and the Old Testament patriarchs and Israelites lived, had an acute appreciation for the need for water, the importance of digging wells that punched through to underground aquifers, allowing for a constant source of fresh water for farming, as well as for their daily needs. This morning as we continue in John Chapter 7, we are looking at the time of Jesus’ teachings in Jerusalem during the Feast of Booths.
