The pastor and theologian, Timothy Keller, once wrote: “No matter what precautions we take, no matter how well we have put together a good life, no matter how hard we have worked to be healthy, wealthy, comfortable with friends and family, and successful with our career — something will inevitably ruin it.” As pessimistic as this quote may sound, the truth is that we live in a reality filled with disappointment, pain, and suffering. The main question I want to ask you this morning is this: How do you cope with pain, suffering and disappointment in your life?
