This morning I will be looking more closely at the third gift that God’s Son, Jesus Christ, made available to all of humanity 2000 years ago: A life full of joy. When we speak of joy as it relates to God’s people, the word is synonymous with gladness, inner peace, to be in a state of good cheer, and exulting in merriness and contentment. Do these words describe your heart as a child of God? The question I want to answer this morning is this: What do we, as Christians have to be joyful about? This morning’s sermon will serve as a reminder of what God’s people have to be joyful about. The Apostle Peter gave at least 4 reasons for our joy in 1 Peter 1:3-9.
